Involvement with Pain Management

My initiation into the field of pain management was a daughter's congenital cleft and witnessing her many surgeries over the years; initially a non-verbal patient, she illluminated the great similarities we experience with our patients and clients, and the medical and ethical imperative of advancing pain management in my practice in particular, and veterinary medicine in general.  This area has dominated my interest and continued learning since, and has included training in fundamentals of acupuncture, the CCRP physical rehabilitation course, and has cumulated in the creation of the Carolinas Animal Pain Management Center operating out of my primary care practice. 

Hobbies and other activities

Hanging with my wife and kids, interfaith dialogue, travel and researching family history.
